Guided Bike Ride and Workshop

Join us for a guided cycle ride through the city and an interactive workshop on promoting cycling in Palmerston North. Discover the benefits of cycling, connect with fellow enthusiasts, and learn practical strategies to make our city and the wider Manawatu more bike-friendly.
Cycling Action Network (CAN) has been New Zealand’s network of cycling advocate groups since 1997, providing a national voice for everyday people on bicycles, Greasy Chain Charitable Trust is a member of CAN and is pleased to host their September Board Meeting in Palmerston North, which will be preceded by activities to engage local community.
Guided Bike Ride (1:00 PM – 2:30 PM)
An invigorating guided cycle ride starting and finishing at Hancock Community House. As part of our commitment to enhancing cycling infrastructure and promoting sustainable urban transport, this ride offers an opportunity to explore the city’s hidden gems and connect with like-minded individuals. Whether you’re a seasoned cyclist or new to biking, this ride is designed to inspire and encourage more people to embrace cycling as a viable mode of transportation. Together, let’s pedal towards a greener, healthier city.
